INTRODUCTION:
Imaging Technology involves the process of creating radiographic (film) records of the internal structures of the body. Imaging Technologists are healthcare professionals who produce medical images using X-rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and Sonography. These images help healthcare providers diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
The program provides fundamental knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, enabling students to understand human biology. It trains students to operate X-ray and imaging equipment, perform routine radiographic techniques, and produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
Imaging Technologists, also known as Radiographers, are trained to produce X-ray films of various body parts for diagnostic purposes.
